Relative Humidity (RH)
Relative humidity, commonly referred to as RH, measures the amount of water vapor in the air compared to the maximum amount possible at a particular temperature. It’s presented as a percentage. The higher the RH, the greater the moisture content in the air is—closer to the air’s saturation point.
Example: In water damage cleanup and restoration, RH is used to measure progress and effectiveness in the drying and dehumidification process. After the blk of water has been removed, drying equipment is used to remove the water you can’t see and return a space (and the materials in it) to their mormal moisture level.
