Puff Back

Occurs when a clogged or malfunctioning furnace causes an explosion in the burner chamber and discharges soot throughout a home or business. Puff back can lead to smoke and soot damage to the structure and its contents. 

Example: Soot from an oil burner puff back can spread throughout a home or business, covering floors, walls, baseboards, and furniture, requiring extensive cleanup and restoration.
