Mechanical Contractor

A mechanical contractor is a professional focused on the mechanical systems of a building such as heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC); plumbing; electrical systems; and refrigeration.  

Example: Mechanical contractors design (often in collaboration with an architect), install, maintain, and repair these mechanical systems to keep buildings safe, efficient, and comfortable. They make sure these systems are a proper fit for the building’s size, environment, and use, and that they’re in compliance with local building codes throughout construction.
