Dennis Texas is a rural community that is conveniently located near the Brazos River. Originally discovered in 1892, by Judge Dennis, after a bridge was built across the Brazos River to help serve the farmers and ranchers of the area. A community built to originally service local farmers and ranchers, still supporting the agricultural lifestyle, has yet to experience much growth, as the population is currently sitting at less than 100 people! A shocking discovery, is despite the low population, Dennis still has their own post office. Dennis is also home to the stunning Sugartree Golf Club that brings in visitors from all around! The community of Dennis also works together with other small rural communities in the area. For example, Dennis and Brock will often work together to provide an outstanding education through Brock ISD.
Being such a small, tight knit community, Dennis is no stranger to devastating disasters.
