Jaffrey is located in Southwest New Hampshire in Cheshire County along the Contoocook River. Jaffrey was incorporated in 1773. The Contoocook River once provided waterpower for the mills in Jaffrey. One of Jaffrey’s most recognizable landmarks is Mount Monadnock which is the highest point in Cheshire County. Mount Monadnock reaches 3,165 feet at the summit and is one of the most hiked mountains in the world. The barren summit of the mountain allows for striking views which are even more breathtaking on clear days. Jaffrey is also the location of Thorndike Pond which sits at the base of Mount Monadnock. Whittemore Island rests in the middle of Thorndike Pond and has a walking trail that loops around it.

We had a septic backup in our basement in October 2019. We were like deer in the headlights. No idea where to turn or what to do. Words can't describe how wonderful SERVPRO is. They were here the next day I called for an estimate. Due to the amount of damage that needed to be fixed before they could come in, it took a bit for them to be able to do the job. But they were so patient. The manager I dealt with was kind, very responsive (even though he was out sick) he ensured everything was in order and the crew knew what to do. I came in after the job was done and it was like a brand-new building! I hope I don't need them in the future, but if I do, I will 100% go to SERVPRO.

Gary Ruotsala was very helpful and responsive throughout the entire process, from coming out to evaluate the job and make an estimate, to accompanying the workers to the job site and explaining what we needed doing. He was also accommodating in altering the original scope of the work due to a changed situation at the home. The two workers got busy immediately – they appeared to have enormous energy and all of the right equipment. They finished at around 2 pm and my brother Bruce and I went down to the basement to look – the transformation was amazing! Bruce was especially impressed with their having moved all of the furniture and building materials (some of it quite heavy) over to the sides of the room. All in all, an excellent and thorough job. I would definitely give SERVPRO a 5-star review. And if we need more work done, we will definitely call again.
