When Water, Fire, and Storm Damage Happens in Surry, We're Ready.

Whether you're looking for restoration, cleaning or construction services in Surry, we're here to help 24/7.

When water intrudes into your home or business, the clock starts ticking immediately. Within 24 to 48 hours, standing water can lead to secondary damage like mold growth, and the longer materials remain wet, the more extensive and costly the restoration becomes. This rapid deterioration affects everything from drywall and flooring to structural elements, turning a manageable problem into a significant expense if not addressed promptly. Understanding this critical timeline is essential for protecting your property investment in Surry. SERVPRO of Bangor/Ellsworth and SERVPRO of Bar Harbor respond to these emergencies with speed and expertise, mitigating further damage and restoring your property efficiently.

Water Damage Restoration in Surry, ME

Water damage in Surry properties often stems from a combination of factors, including the region's older housing stock and its proximity to coastal weather patterns. Many homes here, particularly those built before the 1980s, feature older plumbing systems that are more prone to leaks and burst pipes, especially during cold snaps. Furthermore, the high water table in some areas, coupled with heavy rain events common along the coast, can lead to basement and crawlspace flooding. When water invades your property, whether from a plumbing failure or groundwater intrusion, SERVPRO of Bangor/Ellsworth and SERVPRO of Bar Harbor deploy advanced drying techniques and equipment to extract water, dehumidify the structure, and prevent secondary damage like mold. Our team carefully inspects areas like the foundations of homes near Patten Pond, ensuring thorough drying to protect your investment.

Fire Damage Restoration in Surry, ME

Fire damage presents unique challenges for Surry property owners, often leaving behind not just charring but also pervasive smoke and soot residue. Many of the homes in Surry rely on wood-burning stoves or older oil-fired furnaces for primary heating, which, while efficient, can pose specific fire risks if not properly maintained or installed. These heating methods can lead to chimney fires or furnace malfunctions that quickly spread. After the fire department extinguishes the flames, our team at SERVPRO of Bangor/Ellsworth and SERVPRO of Bar Harbor moves quickly to assess the damage, secure the property, and begin the intricate process of smoke and soot removal. We understand the composition of different building materials common in Surry, from historic wood framing to modern construction, and apply targeted cleaning methods to restore your property and contents.

Mold Remediation in Surry

Mold growth is a persistent concern for property owners in Surry, largely due to the region's naturally high humidity levels, particularly during the summer months, and the prevalence of older, less-than-perfectly sealed homes. When combined with water intrusions from leaky roofs, plumbing issues, or basement dampness, this creates an ideal environment for mold colonies to flourish within 24 to 48 hours. Properties near the Bagaduce River, for instance, often experience elevated moisture. SERVPRO of Bangor/Ellsworth and SERVPRO of Bar Harbor provide comprehensive mold remediation services, starting with containment to prevent spores from spreading. We then use specialized equipment and techniques to remove mold-infested materials, clean affected surfaces, and apply antimicrobial treatments. Our process ensures that your Surry home or business is returned to a healthy, mold-free condition, addressing the root cause of the moisture problem.

Had to use the services of this company this past weekend. They had a timely response and the workers who came to resolve the issue were extremely pleasant. Hope not to have to use the service again but if we do, then this will be the company we call and will refer others to their services.

Mike at SERVPRO was so helpful to us when we had a water leak that filled our basement and first-floor bathroom with water. He walked us through the process they use to dry out the house and checked in with us every step of the way over the few days they were doing work in our home. Highly recommend them for any kind of work like this.

I sustained water damage to my bathroom, & bedroom floors and garage ceiling and called Serve Pro upon making the discovery. They agreed to come to my house immediately to assess the situation and then came back promptly with all of their drying equipment which they set up to mitigate the damage. They came to my house every day for 5 days to assess the progress, locked up my home afterwards and called to report. The bill was submitted directly to my insurance carrier. I felt they were trustworthy to be in my home and was I very happy with their service.

I got a call one morning while I was at work from a contractor who had stopped by to do a job. When he opened the basement door he found a completely flooded basement. The pipe to a hose had frozen and burst sometime during the winter. I had just recently started using the hose to water plants and my habit was to turn the faucet on and turn it off when I was finished. The evening before I had not turned off the hose so for around 20 hours water spewed across my finished family room. there are four other rooms in my basement and they were all flooded. I didn't have any idea how I was going to handle this so I called SERVPRO. Mike showed up within the hour, took one look at the situation, and declared, we do this all the time, I've got this. His team arrived and they began the clean up. This was on a Thursday evening about 3pm and by 1:00 the next day the demolition was done and every item was removed, loaded onto a truck to be disposed of, and the dehumidifiers and fans in place. I was incredibility grateful for the service this team provided. I hope I never have another leak in my basement but if I did I would without hesitation call them again.

When your sewer backs up you leave the house. You call a capable plumber to clear the drain so the sewage drains out and then you better call SERVPRO to clean up the mess and make your home safe again. Why SERVPRO, especially SERVPRO of Bangor and Ellsworth Maine? Because the owner, Mike, over delivers and will do everything right to get you back to “happy”. This was my second time with these guys as a water pipe broke while I was in Florida a few years ago and they did a great job getting our cellar cleaned up. This time I had no hesitation in calling them again. Also, my insurance company totally agreed with my decision. SERVPRO was fast, thorough, and made my wife and me “happy” again. Thank you Mike and your team of professionals.

Recently, a broken pipe in our new home led to quite a bit of damage. Literally, after our insurance agent left our home and made a referral to SERVPRO, we received a call from SERVPRO who offered to inspect our home that same night. -Work started the next morning at 9:30. We are very satisfied with their speed, thoroughness, communication, and attention to detail. -It wasn’t an easy job, nor a fun one but no one on the crew expressed that to us. We would definitely recommend SERVPRO to anyone who finds themselves in the same situation.
