Ocean Breeze began as a 65-acre park known as the largest privately owned trailer park in the United States. The park was established in 1938 in Stuart, FL by Harry Hoke, and was originally called “Ocean Breeze Park.” In 1960, the 142 property owners voted to incorporate, and Harry Hoke was elected as the town’s first mayor.

If you are looking for the perfect place to live with a small town feel yet close to amenities, and access to some of the most beautiful beaches in Florida, you have found it in Ocean Breeze. An interesting fact about this quaint town, Dorothy Geeben was mayor from 2001 to 2011. When she was re-elected in 2004 at age 96, the national media dubbed her the oldest living mayor. Mayor Geeben died on January 11, 2010, at the age of 101 just short of her 102nd birthday. What a special story about a very unique town.
