Located within Hernando County, Masaryktown is home to 1,077 and was founded in 1924. Named after Tomas Garrigue Masaryk, the founder and first president of Czechoslovakia and although many Slovaks let by 1952, to this day there are still a remaining few.
Within Masaryktown, there is Sweet Field Farms. This popular destination spot is known for their annual pumpkin patch that includes everything from a corn maze to actually experiencing farm animals up close and personal. Masaryktown is also known for having multiple RV friendly parks and places to go snorkeling, kayaking and watch for manatees. If you're up for a little more adventure, you can take a tour via airboat with Real Florida Adventures, LLC. On this trip, you can expect to see not only manatees, but gators as well.
