The City of Casa Grande was founded in 1879. At one time the city had only five residents and just 3 buildings. It has grown a lot since then and continues to grow. The current population is approximately 65,945 and winter visitors increase that number by about 20,000 annually. Casa Grande used to be known as Terminus, which means end-of-the-line. In 1880 it was renamed Casa Grande, after the Hohokam Casa Grande Ruins National Monument, located nearby in Coolidge. The town was close to being abandoned when the mining boom slowed in the 1890s. The town survived and was finally incorporated as a city in 1915. Thompson Robert Peart was one of the founding Fathers of Casa Grande. Peart Road, Peart Park, and Peart Center are all named after him.
The Gila River War Relocation Center was a Japanese-American Relocation camp that was set up outside of Casa Grande from 1942 to 1945. Memorable actor Pat Morita was interned there. Baseball player Kenichi Zenimura made a baseball field and started up a league in the camp.
Casa Grande is home to a municipal airport, many schools, beautiful parks, a plethora of restaurants, shopping centers, and several housing communities, including Palm Creek 55+ Resort. A very well-known place in the city is Francisco Grande Hotel and Golf Resort. In 1959, then-owner Horace Stoneham began developing the property. It used to be the Spring Training location for the San Francisco Giants. Willie Mays hit a 375-foot home run at the first exhibition game played there.

Casa Grande is on the radar for long, hot and dry summers, and Monsoon storms. The city experiences sweltering temperatures that have been known to reach the 120s. The winter weather is mild, with lows in the upper 30s and highs in the mid to upper 60s.

I cant say enough positive things about this franchise and its crew. Bj, Alexiz, Preskitt, Ethan, Junior and Andrew all did a fantastic job. Within 90 minutes of learning I had an interior flood from a leaking toilet, SERVPRO arrived and took control of the cleanup by removing carpet and flooring, cabinets and furniture as well as personal possessions. They handled arrangements for a secure storage container on site and al of the furnishings that needed to be removed were stored in the container so the home could be prepared for restoration. I was so impressed with the professionalism of the company and the crew I felt 100% confident to have them oversee the restoration of my home. Cant say enough positive thins from all whom I encountered; including office staff Jennifer and leadership team who were on the job to make sure everything that needed to be done was completed efficiently and timely.
